About Nosara:
The best time to visit Playa Nosara is from November to April during the dry season. The residents of Nosara are very committed to preserving their natural environment. Almost half of the land in the area is protected and no tree can be logged.

Surfing
Playa Guiones in Nosara, provides three miles of sandy bottom beach break. This ensures people don't have to surf in a crowd, and allows them to work on their surfing skills in a safe environment.

Snorkeling
The pristine and warm water of the Costa Rica's Pacific coast is home of many marine species and it's a good option for snorkeling.

Pelada Beach
Pelada Beach has white sand and it is considered one of the most beautiful beaches of Costa Rica. During low tide some pools appear in the rocks along the beach, where multi-colored fish can be easily observed. There are also caves in the rock, caused by the erosion of the waves during centuries, creating particular scenery.

Guiones Beach
Playa Guiones is among the best surfing destinations on the Guanacaste coastline and is surrounded by a lush jungle. This beach is very popular with surfers because of the consistent breaks and also has some wonderful snorkelling opportunities.

Nicoya Peninsula
The Nicoya Peninsula is located on the northern Pacific Coast in Costa Rica across the Gulf of Nicoya. It is the largest peninsula in Costa Rica and famous for its beautiful beaches and its tropical forests.

Ostional Wildlife Refuge
Nosara, Guiones, Pelada and Ostonial together form the Ostional Wildlife Refuge which protects marine turtle species, such as the Olive Ridley and Leatherback turtles at Playa Ostional.
