How to get to Nicoya

By bus:
From San Jose, 6 buses leave daily from the 3rd/5th avenue- 14th street

By car:
From San Jose,drive on the Inter-American High Way to Puntarenas (120 km) where you take the ferry to Paquera or Naranjo. Or continue on the highway in direction to Liberia, and turn off at km 168 to the road leading over the Tempisque Bridge.

Rent a car:
Driving yourself to Montezuma is quiet easy, but it is recommended to time the ferry. For the best service companies and rates, please fill out our car rental form, and we will find you some good options.

Flights:
There are international flights from the US and Canada to Liberia Daniel Oduber Airport. From Liberia it is a short drive to the beaches of the Northern Part of the Nicoya Peninsula. Interbus provides an efficient and economic shuttle service from the Central Valley (San Jose) and other Costa Rican destinations to Liberia and many other destinations on the Nicoya Peninsula. A reservation is needed 72-hour in advance!
