By bus:
From San Jose 2 daily buses leave at 12:00 p.m. and 6:30 pm from the Alfaro bus station on 5th avenue and 14th - 16th street.
By car:
From San Jose follow the Interamericana Highway North, until the turnoff for the Tempisque Bridge - Puente de la Amistad. After crossing the Gulf of Nicoya, head to Nicoya and from there turn south to Samara. From Liberia drive to Nicoya and from there turn south to Samara.

Flights:
