Itinerary Caribbean Package

Day 1: San Jose

At your arrival, one of our drivers will be waiting for you at the exit of the airport with a sign reading your name. He will take you to your Hotel in the Central Valley. Overnight in the Central Valley.

Day 2: San Jose/Pacuare

Early in the morning you will be picked up at your Hotel for a rafting trip on the Pacuare River. You will be offered a morning breakfast along the way and will be prepared by the bilingual rafting guides on security measures and rafting tips before starting the adventurous rafting trip on the Pacuare River (levels III and IV). Picnic lunch will be along the side of the river. At the end of your rafting day you will arrive to the Pacuare Lodge. Overnight is in the Pacuare Lodge.

Day 3: Pacuare

After breakfast, you will have free time to enjoy the facilities at the lodge and surrounding rainforest. You may enjoy some tours such as a canopy tour or a hike to visit the indigenous tribe. Overnight at the Pacuare Lodge.

Day 4: Pacuare/Puerto Viejo

After breakfast you will continue your trip down the Pacuare River on one of the most exciting days of rafting. You will have lunch along the river side and will be amazed by the awesome powers of the majestic river and its surrounding nature. Your rafting trip will end in the afternoon, between 3:00 and 4:00pm. You will be able to change into your dry, warm clothes before receiving a 4X4 vehicle from the car rental company to continue your trip towards the Caribbean coast. The drive to the Puerto Viejo on the Caribbean coast will be approximately 2 hours. Once in Puerto Viejo you will easily find your Hotel. Overnight in Puerto Viejo.

Day 5-6-7: Puerto Viejo

After breakfast, you will have free time to enjoy the hotel facilities and surrounding areas. You may enjoy tours such as a canopy tour, surfing lessons or riding. Overnight in Puerto Viejo.

Day 8: Puerto Viejo/San Jose/Departure

After breakfast, you may drive to the International Juan Santamaria airport in San Jose for your international departure flight. The drive from Puerto Viejo to the International Juan Santamaria airport is approximately 4 hours. You may drop off your rental car at the car rental offices by the airport. Check in for International flights must be 2 hours before the departure time.
