Horseback Riding to Monteverde

Travel the old-fashioned way... We take a very scenic & safe trail along Lake Arenal – get glimpses of the famous and active Arenal Volcano and ride beside lush and beautiful rainforest while trying to spot toucans, sloths, & other tropical creatures.
Our horseback ride is recommended for horse lovers and adventurers of all levels, Monteczuma Oropendolas, monkeys, the elusive "paca" and other tropical animal can be seen during the tour. The lake trail is safe all year-round, plus we have excellently-cared-for-horses – guaranteed!
We have healthy, well-cared for horses, horse guides, tropical fruit break, transportation to the Lake Arenal dam, boat ride on Lake Arenal to the town of El Castillo and then a beautiful day riding along Lake Arenal. You then travel for 1 hour and 45 min by ground transportation to Monteverde and your luggage is transported directly to your Monteverde hotel.
What to wear: For safety and comfort, please bring secure shoes and long pants, sunscreen, any personnel medicine you may require, such as allergy pills, etc.
Please let us know your level of riding ability from novice to expert and your approximate weight and height, so we can properly fit you for your horse.
Our policy to shuttle rental cars around Lake Arenal: We can recommend a responsible shuttle driver but it is your responsibility (for insurance purposes, etc.) to get proper authorization from your rental car agency and put the driver on as an additional driver to your contract for the day of the tour.
